so last night i had a dream where the Stork Swap mod (who was notably not Soulstoned, the actual mod) made a post that was basically like “Upon further reflection, it’s very problematic for people to request Danganronpa for this exchange, because the characters are teens and that means teenage pregnancy. For this round of the exchange it’s provisionally okay, but it’ll be banned for next round.”

and i read this like oh no the antis got to you. and of course I had requested Danganronpa, teen pregnancy and all. so i sat down to write an icily polite and reasonable reply, knowing that i was heading directly for wank central, but i didn’t care, i would die on this hill

and then i woke up and none of it was real, thank god. (including the part where i requested Danganronpa — i nominated it but didn’t up requesting it)

i think i also had a dream about parenting a very intelligent infant; all of this just goes to show that when you stay up until 7am working on a fic (in this case my Stork Swap fic) and then crash for 5 hours, your brain will remember it

i had an idea recently: post my dreams here, both as a low-effort thing to post so i could get in the habit of posting again, and also to encourage me to write down my dreams more. maybe along the way they'll amuse someone else. here's my most recent one, from tuesday.

i had a dream about the game Civilization VI (the civ series is the subject of many of my dreams), in which there was a civ with a unique win condition. in the Future Era, this civ could build a massive project: a Black Hole Generator, which if left alone would generate a black hole in the ice caps that would eventually swallow the earth. (why this was a win for this civ, i don’t know, but it was clearly inspired by Stellaris’ aetherophasic engine.) so if this civ was in the game (and still existed by the future era), the other civs would have to band together to sabotage the black hole generator and/or conquer the black hole civ before they destroyed the world.
