haven't been posting updates recently... feels pointless when there's nothing to report.

i dunno. gonna be anxious pretty much this whole week, because i have 2 essays due and 1 project and general work for the literary magazine. gonna be spending most of my energy trying not to fall into the procrastination-anxiety-procrastination spiral, or to limit that spiral enough that i still scrape by.

also, i realized i forgot to link the one fic i did for chocolate box here, so i'll try to do that later. still working on a chocbox treat, because i liked it a lot and got 3k into it. i'm not concerned with lateness, just with "will i ever finish this" (haven't actually worked on it since february)

also have 2 zero escape fics i've started on, but idk if i'll actually make progress on either

and then there's the hypmic fic i posted a snippet of yesterday. wrote 347 more words of that today.

i just... i don't know, man. about anything. school, writing, the future. except that i should probably stop posting at 6am all the time. might mean less posts written while anxious.

at least my classes tomorrow are cancelled (water leak in the building, apparently?) and my essay deadline was pushed to wednesday.

so far in january i've written 4.2k words (out of my 6.3k goal for the month.)

my current exchange fic wordcounts (all are unfinished):

-Past Imperfect Treat #1: 1276
-Chocolate Box Treat #1: 2039
-Chocolate Box Assignment: 0

(the fact that those treats are numbered is mostly just optimism, in case i end up writing other treats for those exchanges. which may happen for chocolate box, but probably not for past imperfect? we'll see.)

and yes, this means i did indeed start a chocolate box treat before i started my assignment. this isn't to say i'm not excited about my assignment, because i definitely am! i just got inspired to write this treat, and i'm not about to pass up some inspiration.

of course, past imperfect reveals are on feb 2nd, so i'd like to circle back to that fic. in fact, part of my reason for posting this is accountability, so that i have more motivation to continue it & finish it.

i also have a zero escape fic rec post in progress, since this is an accountability post. i'll try to finish that up & post it soon.

this is my second occurrence in the last several days of staying up til 6-7am writing (though in tonight's case i was also doing canon review... and the dishes). while i don't claim that this is good decision-making when it comes to my sleep schedule*, i'm also pleased with the writing i've been getting done! and now i'm definitely getting excited about writing more chocolate box treats once i'm done with my current projects. though i will have to finish those projects first... always the problem, isn't it? :P

*(i don't actually have class until 3pm today, so i'm free to sleep in until 2 or so. i'll be getting ~7 hrs of sleep, so that's not too bad.)
