Dear Worldbuilder,

Hi! I'm Grave (ao3 user [archiveofourown.org profile] graveExcitement). I'm very much looking forward to doing [community profile] worldbuildingex again! Thanks in advance for writing for me. I hope one or more of these prompts inspires you, but optional details are optional; feel free to ignore the prompts or only use part of them if a different idea strikes you!

The length of my prompts may vary between my requested fandoms, especially in places where I've been able to reuse prompts from previous exchanges. Don't worry — if I requested a fandom, I want it just as much as I want the other fandoms here, regardless of prompt length!

Do Not Wants:
-I'm not interested in smut for this exchange.

General likes/favored tropes:
I may not put most of these into my request-specific prompts, but I enjoy these tropes:

-Telepathy/telepathic bonds
-Bodyswapping or bodysharing
-Bickering/bantering
-Time travel/time loops
-Cuddling/snuggling/falling asleep together
-Hurt/comfort (especially sickfic)
-Humor

My requested fandoms:

Detroit: Become Human
Hollow Knight
New Danganronpa V3

Detroit: Become Human

Requested medium(s): Fanfiction, In-Universe Meta
Requested characters: Original Character(s)

Android Astronauts
Okay, so. There's a brief magazine article you can find at some point in the game about the first all-android crew of astronauts. Here's the article in its entirety:
NASA announced the launch of a five android crew to explore Io, one of Jupiter's satellites. The journey will last three years and is expected to teach us much about the formation of our solar system.

Though not the first androids in space, this is the first all-machine crew, proving that androids are sufficiently reliable to be entrusted with the entire mission.

"Androids are an extraordinary asset for the conquest of space," said Michael Shelley, director of NASA. "Cosmic radiation destroys human DNA. Humans suffer many effects from long term space travel, while androids are immune to most of these issues."

NASA confirmed that no return journey was planned and that the androids would work on Io for several months before being destroyed by the extreme conditions of the planet.
Ever since, I've been desperate to read a story about these android astronauts. What are their days like, pre-revolution? Do any of them go deviant? And after the revolution, what happens to them now? Do they continue their scientific work, knowing that they are more suited to working in space than humans are? Do they strike? Are they able to make a return journey to Earth, or at least to avoid being destroyed by Io? How do humans & androids back on Earth react to the plight of these androids?

Hollow Knight

Requested mediums: Fanfiction, In-Universe Meta
Requested characters: Original Character(s), Any or No Characters

Ancient Void-worshipping civilization
I'm fascinated with the tantalizing tidbits we learn about the ancient pre-Hallownest civilization that worshipped the Void. They stored knowledge within Arcane Eggs and created the soul totem statues. How did they come to worship the Void? Did they also harness it, as the Pale King did, or did they only worship it? Are the ancient huge bug corpses (ex. the bug holding the bowl of Void that gives the player Shade Cloak) also from this era? Were there competing civilizations and/or religions at this time; if so, what were relations between them and the Void-worshipping civilization like? Was the Radiance around back then, and was she a rival to the Void then, or were they friendlier? How far did the civilization stretch? What led to its end?

New Danganronpa V3

----MAJOR SPOILER WARNING FOR ENDGAME TWISTS----
Seriously, don't even look at this fandom if you ever plan on playing this game.

Requested medium(s): Fanfiction, In-Universe Meta
Requested characters: Amami Rantaro, Ouma Kokichi, Saihara Shuichi, Any or No Characters, Original Character(s)

General notes: I requested Amami, Ouma, and Saihara because they're the ones I'm most interested in, but it's okay if you feature/focus others as well (or original/no characters, of course!)

Society that enjoys killing games
How bloodthirsty is their society, that televised killing games are broadly accepted? Or is Danganronpa used more as catharsis for this society? Is killing game entertainment and acceptation of such limited to Japan, or is it worldwide? Does Team Danganronpa have a monopoly on killing game entertainment, or are there other, less popular killing game shows/media? Does anyone try to set up amateur killing games in their neighborhood/school/workplace?

Killing game as reality TV show
What's the process of auditioning for Danganronpa like? Is there any kind of preparation, photo shoots, etc., before the kids' memories get wiped/new memories implanted and they get set loose? How much warning do they get before they find out they're accepted - do they get any advance notice, or do they just get kidnapped and only informed right before the killing game? Do parents, siblings, friends, etc. tune into the new season of Danganronpa only to find out that their kid/sibling/friend is in the latest killing game?

Do all the killing games tend to follow a similar pattern (five or so regular class trials before a final class trial to reveal the mastermind) or are some of them more unusual? Does a blackened ever win? Are there any killing games that reached a "stalemate" where people stopped dying (or the killing never began) but they weren't able to figure out the mastermind either?

What was Amami's previous killing game (or games?) like, and what did he do in between killing games?

In-universe Danganronpa fan communities
What kind of in-universe fanwank is there for Danganronpa? Arguments about best boy/best girl? Arugments about who should have lived/died? (These arguments can be about V3 characters or unseen characters from previous seasons.) What was it like as an individual in-universe Danganronpa fan, watching V3 - did they eventually reject the killing game they loved as wrong, or are they bitter that it ended? What are fan communities centered around a killing game reality show like? Do a great deal of fans audition for Danganronpa themselves, or do they love the show but wouldn't want to actually risk their life for it? Are there different communities for the first group versus the second? How many of the V3 characters participated in online Danganronpa fan communities?

In-universe Danganronpa fannish activity
Fans will be fans, especially with the intentional blurring of fiction and reality when it comes to Danganronpa contestants. So, people writing fanfiction or meta about Danganronpa, the killing game show (potentially including any of the many seasons we don't know anything about). What's it like being an (in-universe) Danganronpa fanfic author? Do they acknowledge that they're writing about real people, or do they use Shirogane's defense of the contestants' backstories and personalities being fictional to mean that they are writing about fully fictional characters?

Did any of the V3 characters ever write fanfiction or meta about previous Danganronpa seasons? (Especially Saihara. And, after the killing game ended, did Saihara come home to find his AO3 account full of Danganronpa fic?)

I hope you are inspired by something in this letter! Good luck, and have fun!
