tumblr migration

so i guess i'm going to try to use dreamwidth more, now that tumblr has gone completely off the deep end? before now i pretty much was just using it as a space to put exchange letters, haha. 

and to be honest i'm a little too young to have ever used either livejournal or dreamwidth much, so i'm a little clueless on how this site actually works as a social network, but i'm willing to give it a shot!

the best part is, now i can actually make use of my stockpile of different ouma icons!

figure i might as well do this properly and introduce myself!

hi, i'm grave. i'm 26, queer, & a trans dude (he/him pronouns). my main general interests are reading, writing, videogames, and fanfiction. my specific fandoms at the moment include the magnus archives, danganronpa, zero escape, hollow knight, and the rigel black chronicles, but it varies!

my ao3 is graveExcitement ! a lot of my fic is either homestuck, danganronpa, or the rigel black chronicles but i've posted for a variety of other fandoms too. 

before now i'd mostly been using this dreamwidth to post dear author letters for various fanfic exchanges, and that'll still be a decent chunk of what i post here, because i'm forgetful af.

this blog'll probably be a mix of personal and fandom content. occasionally i'll friends-lock a personal post but i'm also very free with handing out access.

deadline

ok, so i woke up a little bit ago from my designated 3 hr nap. feeling pretty good considering that was my only sleep last night/morning, but i also got distracted by the new Live A Hero update, so i burned a little time on that, lmao.

as of this writing i have a little over 4.5 hours before i need to turn in my final portfolio for my creative writing class. i got most of the portfolio ready for printing before my nap, but there's still some stuff i gotta do.

• write ~5 pages so i have a third writing sample
• revise one of my previous writing samples
• print it all out
• hole punch everything
• put everything in my portfolio

i have to catch the bus in 2 hours, but (unless the bus is exceedingly late) i'll get to campus with time to spare, so if i don't have everything printed out yet i can do that there.

i'd like to get it all ready in the next 2 hours, of course, but i'm not that concerned either way -- i've moved past the state where i'm procrastinating and avoiding everything, and once i get past that i usually can get stuff done.

let's get started!

deadline part 2

on the bus now — forgot my wallet, so i had to buy a commuter day pass through the app, which is annoying on principle because i got a free metro pass through my college and today, the final day of this class, is the day i leave it behind.

anyhow, i’m mostly done with my portfolio. i have a few things left:

• write the last 1-1.5 pages i need for this excerpt
• print out said pages
• hole punch the half of the portfolio i didn’t manage to hole punch before i had to leave
• put all the pages into my portfolio folder

i’ll try to get some of the writing done on the bus, in case the bus ends up being late enough that i don’t have enough time to write when i get to campus. everything else should only take a few minutes once i get there.

the class itself will be very short — turn in portfolio, chat with the prof, then leave. so after that i’ll have the following tasks to prepare for my finals tomorrow:

• the last 3 anthropology readings and quizzes
• make a study sheet for anthropology
• make at least 5 comments on other people’s anthropology assignments
• study my japanese vocab
• study japanese grammar
• study kanji
• get 6-8 hrs of sleep

that last item may have to take priority over studying japanese, but not over studying anthropology.

My answer: hmmm. hogwarts is like, the obvious choice, i think? just because that comes with magic. but i think i'm actually going to go with UA (from boku no hero academia), because superhero school (!!!) like, even if i wasn't part of the hero course, that would still be super cool. also, i'm into bnha right now, so... that helps.

the fictional school i would absolutely NOT go to is hope's peak academy (from danganronpa). even if i was like, the ultimate fic writer or something, that place was bad news even before any of the killing games.
